With multiple branches coming off of a main stem, you can easily divide stems and will have the same amount of product!

In Part 2, Amy shows how to roughly estimate how she estimated the amount of bunches of Baby’s Breath she would need to complete a Baby’s Breath Broken Arch.

This will be your “guide” when determining how many bunches you will need for your design. Can’t take a photo? Draw a quick sketch of your proposed design. A visual reference guide will help so much in helping you determine your estimated bunch amount!

These circles will be a rough estimation of where you’ll need a “bunch” or greenery or floral. In Amy’s video, the circles she’s drawing are determining the areas of the arch that will need a “bunch” of Baby’ Breath.

Count the circles that you’ve drawn and then add them together, this will tell you how many bunches of Baby’s Breath you need for your broken arch! If you’re using this technique for aisle markers or centerpieces, calculate the amount you’ll need for one piece and then multiply that number by the amount of pieces you’ll need to make and that will tell you the amount that you’ll need in total!

To complete the broken arch Amy ended up with ordering 25 bunches of Baby’s Breath and using 50 White Playa Blanca roses! To ensure that you have enough for this structure you’ll want three orders of Bulk Baby’s Breath (30 bunches) and one order of Bulk White Roses (100 stems). This will provide you more than enough to the broken arch and will allow you to have left over blooms to supplement other designs for your event!

This technique will give you a rough estimation of how much you’ll need, so it’s always better to err on the side of caution and order a little extra if need be to make sure you have enough. As Amy says, this isn’t an exact science but floristry isn’t an exact science either!
